Hemroid Treatment

August 7th, 2008

There are many options when seeking hemroid treatment, we’ll take a look at the most commonly effective ones here.

DIETARY CHANGES

  • It’s important to include extra fiber in your diet and to drink plenty of water every day. This will prevent constipation. Constipation causes strain on your bowel muscles, which will make hemroids worse.
  • There are foods that tend to worsen hemroid symptoms. The most common are nuts, coffee, all alcohols and spicy foods. If you notice another type of food making your hemroids worse, try abstaining for a few days and see if there is a positive effect.

BEHAVIORIAL CHANGES

  • Use ice on the area for 10 minutes, then follow with a warm, moist towel for 20 minutes to provide relief.
  • Don’t wipe or rub after a bowel movement! Instead, use unscented baby wipes to carefully pat down the area.
  • Keep sitting or standing in one place to a minimum. Move around.
  • If you have a particularly bad flare up of the piles, bed rest will take pressure off the sphincter muscles and allow the hemroids to time to subdue.
  • Some find relief by taking a sitz bath several times a day. You just soak the area in warm water for about 15 minutes.
  • If you use soaps or body wash that contain dyes and perfumes, switch to less chemical versions.
  • Cotton undergarments will help absorb any moisture (perhaps from sweating) that can make hemroids worse.

MEDICATIONS

  • Zinc is a skin protectant (it’s found in baby diaper rash cream) that can be applied to both protect the delicate anal skin and to prevent itching.
  • Suppositories, such as Tucks and Preparation H are a hemroid treatment to be taken with extreme caution. They can cause damage to anal tissue with longer term use, and therefor should not be used for more then 7-10 days.
  • At your drugstore you’ll also find hydrocortisone creams. These are anti-inflamitories and can help both inflammation and itching. Your doctor can prescribe a higher concentration if the over the counter strengths don’t provide relief.
  • Most drugstores also offer numbing sprays that will help with the pain.

Unfortunately, these treatments don’t work for everyone. Many still suffer from the itching, burning, bleeding and pain of hemroids after trying traditional treatments. Even if the treatments above cover up symptoms, or temporarily relieve them, you’ll often find the hemroids come back. Rather then masking the symptoms, a true hemroid treatment is available. The ancient Chinese “Fargei” actually cured Holly Hayden’s hemroids in just 48 hours. Her article is a must-read for more information on effective hemroid treatment that works NOW.

Hemroid Symptoms

August 6th, 2008

If you suspect you may have hemroids, check the following hemroids symptoms to see if any match up with your own issues.

INTERNAL HEMROID SYMPTOMS

  • Fresh, brilliant red blood on your bowel movements, toilet or toilet paper
  • Feeling oddly full after passing stool
  • Uncomfortableness in the anal area
  • Internal hemroids are usually not painful

EXTERNAL HEMROID SYMPTOMS

  • Anal pain
  • Itching
  • Bleeding
  • A hard, purple lump around the anus

You’ll want to check with your doctor to ensure that the hemroid symptoms you are experiencing are in fact indicative of hemroids.  Hemroids can sometimes be confused with other conditions, like a perirectal absess or anal fissure.

Check the hemroid treatment page for information on how to immediately find relief for your hemroids symptoms, and then head to the H Miracle to learn how to cure your hemroids once and for all.

Cure Hemroids

August 5th, 2008

Is it possible to cure hemroids?  The answer is yes, but there are several methods to pick from.

The simplest ways to cure hemroids involve at home hemroid treatment.  But for many people, these dietary and behavorial changes coupled with over the counter medications just don’t do the trick.  They’re still left with painful hemroids and seek a permanent cure.

Your doctor may recommend rubber band ligation or surgical hemroid removal (such as closed hemroidectomy, circular stapled hemroidopexy, or thrombus removal).  The problem with these procedures is that they themselves are painful AND you can develop hemroids again.  While surgical procedures will remove your current hemroids, there’s nothing preventing you from getting more hemroids in the future.

I wanted a better answer, an end to embarrassing doctor visits, and end to surgeries, an end to the pain and blood and a real, honest to goodness way to cure hemroids so they didn’t come back.

I tried everything I could find, on the net and in books, to get rid of the piles.  I didn’t want to just treat the symptoms anymore, I didn’t want to be dependent on a medication or procedure for the rest of my life.  I wanted my hemroids GONE. There had to be a root cause of the hemroids I could use to prevent them from ever occuring again.

After trying just about everything, I came across a webpage that astonished me.  It spoke directly to me, and told me exactly why my hemroids kept coming back, why I couldn’t get rid of them, and how I could finally cure hemroids once and for all.  The information was compiled by Holly Hayden, and she cured her hemroids in 48 hours.

If that wasn’t compelling enough, there were tons of other folks who’d been relieved of their hemroids too writing on the page.

I was hooked, and I finally had hope.

After reading the H Miracle, I put into place Holly’s suggestions - the “nature stool” method, the Chinese “Fargei” method, and the “4 element diet” to reverse my hemroids.

I can’t recommend Holly’s work enough; her methods to cure hemroids are thorough, safe and easy to implement.  Anyone suffering from hemroids needs this document now - click here to read more about it and end the pain, bleeding and leakage today.

Colonoscopy - Blood in stool?

November 20th, 2009

Sorry to have to ask this but I need some advice. I had a colonoscopy 2 1/2 years ago and they found a polyp - the doctors removed it and scheduled another colonoscopy in 5 years (2010). Now, the problem is about a month ago I had started seeing fresh blood on my toilet paper when I had a bm. I would also see fresh blood in the stool. This happened for about 2 weeks - but the last 3 weeks I haven’t seen anything. Should I be concerned??

I spoke to my doctor today and she said that she was going to follow-up on my last colonoscopy report but she felt like she would leave it alone for now. Should I press the issue and ask for another colonscopy?? Would something major pop up in the 2 1/2 years since my last test???

Thanks for any advice you can give. By the way, there has been no pain or cramping and my bm’s are completely regular.

I don’t have external hemroids I know.
No new meds.
I’ve never needed stool softeners.

Bright red blood is a sign of bleeding in the lower bowel/rectum/anal areas. Dark blood is a sign of bleeding in the upper GI (Stomach/Small intestine). You may have an internal hemorhoid, or you may have another polyp. You won’t know until the doctor does another colonoscopy. I hope everything works out. Good luck to you! & Best wishes!

What are the symptoms of hemorrhoids?

November 20th, 2009

And what causes hemroids? And what are the treatments?

hemroids symptoms are:
- Bright red blood covering the stool, on toilet paper, or in the toilet bowl.
- Anal itching
- Painful swelling or hard lump around the anus.

hemroids are internal or external depends if they develop inside the passageway of the anus (internal) or around the anus (external).

Since the skin is more sensitive, the external hemroids are more painful than internal, unless we’re talking about prolapse internal hemroids, where the internal hemroid prolapse (protrude) outside the anus and the pain is severe.

hemroids don’t just disappear by it self and bigger they are more problems they cause, so it is vital to treat them as soon as possible.

It is also important to determine what the cause of hemroids is. The most common cause is constipation. Other reasons are: significant overweight, pregnancy, overeating, acid/alkaline imbalance, vitamin B-6 deficiency, fatigue liver, genetically predisposition. Sitting or standing in one position for long periods of time can also contribute to development of hemroids.

Treatment options are: various creams, pills, medical injection, super freezing, tight rubber band placed around the base of each hemroid, surgery or laser treatment.

Whatever treatment you’ll decide to do, remember to also treat the cause of your hemroids, like take care of your digestion and regular soft bowel in case of constipation (fiber rich diet), if you’re overweight - lose weight, in case of acid/alkaline imbalance pay attention by your food to eat food that through the digestion system is giving you proper acidity. You can buy a home test for acid/alkaline imbalance, if you don’t want to visit your doctor. The vast majority of us are having low alkaline pH, due to improper nutrition.

Unless you’re having constipation (this you can know by yourself), before doing experiments and try to guess what is the cause of your hemroids, go visit your doctor, make all proper test and than decide for the treatment of hemroids including changing of your diet, if necessary.

Other than preparation H what are some good at home treatments for hemorrhoids?

November 8th, 2009

Tucks. Even , Vicks Vaporub is very soothing. A bag of ice. Sitz baths.

For most external hemroids, home treatment is all you need. This includes slowly adding fiber to your meals, drinking more water, and using over-the-counter ointments for a limited time to stop itching. You also may use stool softeners. The same home treatment can be used for most internal hemroids

Healthy habits can help you prevent hemroids or keep them from getting worse. Eat foods that have lots of fiber, such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Also, drink plenty of water, and get some exercise on most days of the week.
