Hemmoroid Treatment

Seeking hemmoroid treatment?  You’ll want to note that most hemmoroid treatment plans actually just mask the symptoms, rather then preventing hemmoroids from recurring.

That being said, there are several steps you can take to prevent the worsening of your existing hemmoroids.

You’ll want to change your diet to exclude coffee, spicy foods, nuts or any other food that you notice makes your hemmoroids worse.  Make sure you’re drinking the standard 8 glasses of water each day as well, as being well hydrated helps keep your bowel movements flowing.

For effective hemmoroid treatment you’ll also need to change some of your bathroom behaviors.  This means not wiping your anal area too hard, and instead patting it clean gently (perhaps with baby wipes).  Never, ever push hard; if a bowel movement isn’t ready to come out, you’ll only exacerbate your hemroids with the straining of your muscles.

When you have a particularly painful episode of hemmoroids, you can treat the symptoms with warm compresses, ice packs, sitz baths, topical hemmoroid creams and numbing sprays.

If your hemmoroids don’t respond to these over the counter rememdies, a more serious treatment measure may be necessary.  Of course, even if you opt for surgical removal of your most painful hemmoroids, new hemmoroids can appear afterwards - and then you’re right back where you started from.  What’s most important is treating the cause of your hemroids and eliminating them. Some tips on doing so can be found here.
