How Can You Tell if You Have Hemroids?
I heard some people say they never knew they had hemroids.
Then I heard stories of people who said it hurt to sit down or poop.
Then I heard you get constipated and cant poop, and when you do you pass blood? But it doesnt hurt?
Im confused…If hemroids dont hurt then why do so many people complain about them….or do they hurt..what happens.
I dont get it. (sorry I was reading about it in my pregnancy book).
Hemorrhoids are veins that pop out of your anus to the outside or are inflamed on the inside.
If they are severe, you can actually feel them when you wipe like tiny or big bumps, plus they may or may not leave traces of blood on the tissue.
Some don’t hurt but do itch, others burn and itch and hurt when you poop. Tucks medicated pads give relief when the symptoms aren’t that bad but if they do get out of control you should ask your doctor for some medicine.
How do I know this? Do you really need to ask???
They happen a lot to pregnant women during pregnancy but are common too during labor because of all the effort you are doing while you are pushing, that’s why you should practice your pushing before you actually go into labor, that way you learn how to push with your vagina and not your other parts, by focusing on your stomach muscles.
Good advice: I was told to bring to the hospital an inflatable donut (they sell them at drugstores) and inflate it there, cause once you give birth even if you don’t have hemorrhoids your whoopdeedoo might be sore and if you have the donut you can sit more comfortably.

They don’t always hurt and they don’t always bleed… but if you have them.. you WILL know. They’re hard to miss!

I always found them painful. I got one after having my son (from pushing) and it was MORE painful than anything else that I had. But, since I take baths regularly, I haven’t had a flare up since. They usually hurt when they are inflamed, which is not 24/7.

Ok so honest answer even though kind of gross… I don’t know about them hurting I think that might be if you have external ones. But I have internal ones and I did bleed when I pooped. But my Dr. gave me stool softeners and I haven’t since. I was never constipated and it never hurt. I guess it depends on the person

Mine don’t hurt but are unbelievably itchy and burn, they are not internal ones though and hang like grapes round my bum so are more uncomfortable when I am sitting, as I can permanently “feel” them there. Not all are caused by constipation, mine are caused by the weight of the baby and they don’t always bleed (I think it is mainly internal ones that bleed as they get “rubbed” when the poos comes down.
sorry if TMI
So if you bleed when having a poo, if you bum hurts, if you have an incredibly itchy bum or grape like things hanging down – good sings you have them.

As for the blood, my Dr assumed I had them because I was bleeding a lot every time I went to the bathroom. Mine was not hemorrhoids but something else that was wrong internally. I ended up having to get scoped, not fun!
