Can we cure hemorrhoids without applying any treatments of any sorts?

October 30th, 2009

I mean will it vanish naturally? or is itonce it is there it will be there for ever without any chances of getting it out?

hemroids can and will heal if the strain causing them is removed.

Supplement your diet with extra high fiber foods and/or take a fiber supplement such as Metamucil or Citrucel. Don’t strain when you have a bowel movement - this can make it worse.

If you have a minor hemroid problem, it may heal over the course of a couple weeks. If this is a problem that has been going on for some time, it could take much longer to heal or require medical treatment.

Also, do not use any ointments with hydrocortisone in it, such as Preparation H. After regular and prolonged use, these ointments can weaken the tissue down there so that hemroids are more likely to occur. Ointments with phenylephrine are OK to use regularly.

Take care,

hemroids during pregnancy…?

October 23rd, 2009

i believe i have hemroids, and im 23 weeks pregnant. i have been having a little discomfort while having a bowel movement, and a week ago i had a little blood after. and then today i had the same thing and it was more than just a spot of blood…

i am also having a little cramping on the side of my groin… is that normal?

i did call my doct and he just gave my a name of a stool softener, and said to eat lots of fruit and bran cereal and drink alot of juice and water.

so how long does it take for them to go away?
is the cramping normal with them?
is there anything u did to relieve it?

please help… thx :) oh… and if u had them during pregnancy, how far along were u??

Ahhhh…hemroids! One of the joys of pregnancy.

Use the stool softener, don’t strain when you have a bowel movement, and use preparation H to relieve the itch and Tucks for wiping after a bowel movement. A nice soak in the tub is soothing as well.

Lets see…how long does it take them to go away? Well, my 4th child is 24 now, and I’m STILL waiting for them to go away. It should be any day now!

Gurus of Yahoo Answers, Questions about Hemorhoids: Is what I began for home treatment correct?

Sorry for the many questions on hemroids!

So my doc’s appointment got moved back to next week to look at my PROLAPSED hemroid. Till then I am helping my body in the following ways:

- Increase fiber + water intake.
- Avoid going to the john until the "urge" hits. Then I breathe in and out to help avoid straining. I use wipes.
- Adding bioflavoroids (sp?) to diet to strengthen veins.

After starting this home treatment, I notice that when I have "proper" bowel movements (no hard stools, little straining, quick and dirty), I see less blood in the toilet, and less blood when wiping. Also, my hemroid goes back in quicker and easier(shrinking?).

Note: I said "when I have…" I try to have good bowel movements everytime, but occasionally I don’t get enough water, or fiber, etc.

As you may guess, I am not a fan of invasive surgery, hence the home treatment. I research a bit and found that high fiber diets do reduce symptoms, but take a while!

Am I going in the right directions?
P.S I am a college student, so surgery would hinder me a lot, but if it’s the only way, I guess I must.

Also I am sorry if any descriptions gross you out!

Finally, for the medical experts/past experiencers, my hemroid is not painful when it protudes, and when I contract the muscles, it goes back in smoothly. As my diet improves, the amount of blood on my feces decreases.

I believe so many people also use preparation H for pain relief and it also helps with the shrinking of them.

Could I be pregnant:)?

October 2nd, 2009

Okay so me(15) and my boyfriend(18) had unprotected sex on December 9, 11, and 13th, a week or two I had just gotten off of my period. Then I started feeling sick and no I’m not vomiting or anything like that but I feel like my body wants to that or food just appealing to me. I’ve lost a few pounds. I weighted about 130 and now i weigh about 125. I’ve also been getting hemroids alot. I think I might have gotten my period for January but am unsure. It started on the 6th and ended a few days afterwards. Although it seemed much like my normal period I’m not sure because it was shorter than usual. Als my temperature is slightly higher than normal and I get tired through out the day. I have taken a pregnancy test a week or so after we had sex but came back negative and am unsure whether or not I should test again. Help me please.

Tell your bf that the police are on the way to pick him up and throw him in a slammer for sexual assault to a minor (YOU).

You don’t even know how to use pregnancy test, i.e. it should be used close to the next period or after, not one week after sex.

so ive been feeling real sick everytime after i eat! i feel nausea i just had my baby 8 weeks ago any ideas?

oh im deff not prego cuz we havent done stuff

Pregnancy and child birth can causes an amazing amount of stresses on the body for something that is ’so natural’. What you have described may or may not be caused by something that happened while you are pregnant but doesn’t sound like it now has anything to do with pregnancy so I would see your general doctor. You shouldn’t sit on this for long. You really need to see someone.

hemorrhoid?

Anybody knows any medicines or cream for treatment of hemroid?? pls help!

Prep. H works well with the patients I have. Here is some other forms of treatment I found on the website:

Having hemroids can be a very embarrassing and painful experience. Being forced to ask advice from a friend or family member, or perhaps even your doctor, can be humiliating. Understand that hemroids are a medical condition, you have no reason to be embarrassed.

Luckily, modern medicine has created several ways to treat hemroids to help alleviate some of the discomfort that hemroids causes. Many of these remedies can be performed from home. If you experience intolerable pain or excessive swelling you may have developed a blood clot in your hemroid and should see a doctor for the treatment suitable for you.

Home Remedies
Avoid using over the counter medications to help with your hemroids. Some of these medications have been known to actually increase the amount of time it takes the hemroid to heal.

Hot Sitz Bath.
A sitz bath (also called a hip bath) is a bath where only your hips and buttocks are immersed in the water. You can use hot water, or a saline solution if you’d like (water should work just fine).

A hot sitz bath is recommended several times per day, and many doctors also recommend it after every bowel movement. The bath should help lessen the pain and swelling from the hemroids. Make sure that you dry yourself very well to avoid any unnecessary friction (which can tear open the hemroid).

Eat Your Salad.
Eating light, green vegetables such as salad can make your stools softer and can help with the pain associated with having a bowel movement. As well, be sure to increase your natural fiber intake to avoid constipation.

Stay Well Hydrated.
Staying hydrated has several benefits aside from being beneficial to your skin and natural body systems. In the case of hemroids it will help your stools stay softer and will help your body replenish any blood lost to bleeding from the hemroids.

Avoid Sitting For Prolonged Periods.
Sitting on the hemroids for prolonged periods of time may agitate it and cause more bleeding and swelling. Sitting on an inflatable ring may help alleviate this problem.

Medical or Surgical Treatments
Though hemroids can usually be treated by a hot sitz bath and some minor dietary changes, if you develop a blood clot or other complications you may need other medical solutions, possibly even surgery.

Thrombosed hemroid.
This is the medical term for “hemroid with a blood clot”, and can be very painful. Luckily, the procedure to rectify the clot can be performed at nearly any emergency room or walk in clinic.

The doctor will simply cut away the clot and fill the wound with an anesthetic. A bandage is then put over top to stop any bleeding.

Prolapsed internal hemroids.
Many times a doctor will be able to reposition the internal hemroids without any type of surgery, allowing you to pass them through. However, if you are very swollen or have some other complication you will probably need surgery.

Failure to consult a doctor may result in the hemroid “dying”. It may seem to be a good thing, but it almost always results in infection. If it becomes infected you may experience extreme pain and become very ill.

In most cases hemroids relief can be taken care of at home following use of the right hemroid treatment. If you experience any amount of unexpected pain or discomfort, or you become very ill, consult your doctor immediately.

Could I be pregnant? Please anwser…!?

September 18th, 2009

Okay so me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex December 9th, 11th, and 13th. We then had unprotected sex January 19th, 21st, and 23rd as well. About a week later on the 31st of January from the last time we had unprotected sex I got my period, or at least I think its my period, but I’m not sure. I’ve taken a few pregnancy tests and they’ve all come back negative. I’ve talked to my mom and she said shes always had false negatives with all of her pregnancies and have gotten her period through the first few months of being pregnant. And I don’t know if I should mention this or not so I will anyways but after a few weeks of having sex with my boyfriend the first time I’d say about three maybe four weeks I started getting hemroids. The first time I got a hemi I iced it and the pain went away. Then I started getting smaller ones that itch like crazy. I’ve read on the internet that getting hemroids even as early as I am can be a sign of early pregnancy. So is it just possible that maybe I’m just testing too early for the hormones to show up in my urine?

I am sorry for the people being rude about this. A blood test would be best! I hope you get the answer you want! And are you sure that they are hemerroids, you need to be seen about them either way. I hope everything works out for y’all!!!!
