Does It Sound Like I Have Hemroids?
Hello,
I've just noticed a small lump on the inner side of my anus, it doesn't feel that big, but it might be bigger than I think. When I touch it, it feels like a spot, but when you kinda squeze it, it feels like it's also internal. I've been doing a fair bit of reading on these hemroids, (I didn't know what they were until 3 days ago..) I don't eat the best, nor do I workout that much, and I admit I sit down most of my College Days off. But I don't usually ever get anything like this..It's also sometimes very itchy down there, but I've just 'overcome' worms, so I don't know! I'm quite scared about this, A) I don't really want Hemroids, and I fear Cancer aswell. I'm also scared to go to the Doc. aswell, silly I know, but some people are. Also it would be at least a week before he could see me, the Surgery is always full. But the thing is, I havn't (yet) felt anyform of pain and certainly not bleeding: I don't think! I can prod, squeze and do most to it at-the-moment. Ty for help!
So the only thing really, is the itching.
Is there some cream maybe I could take.. Something I could buy myself, preferably without telling my parents…
Also: I'm a 17yr old boy.
Sounds kinda wrong but get a mirror, contort yourself so you can see your butt. If you have a small darkish swelling then it could well be a haemorrhoid. You could also have a tiny fissure (small cut type thing) just on the inside of your anus, this would cause itchiness. easiest thing is to buy some preparation H or similar from a chemist or even a supermarket. Do not prod or squeeze, you could introduce infection and make things a whole lot worse. If you have no relief after a week, go to your docs, no embarrassment needed, they've seen it all. Also cancer in your age would be very rare, but for heavens sake if you are worrying about it, go to the docs.

Preparation H works best to cure the itching. I'd get it checked out when you can, sounds like piles but best to be safe.

Fear not.Go to the chemist and ask for a bottle of witch hazel(it's an astringent, quite harmless).Soak some cotton wool with it and apply to offending haemorrhoid(pile)couple of times a day.Should shrink in less than a week.Add some roughage to your diet.Or drink orange juice.
Creams tend to aggravate the itchiness.

You're a bit young to have hemorrhoids, but if that's what it is, you can use "Preparation 'H'" which soothes the symptoms of hemorrhoids (piles).
I'd say that because you are at a young age, you would be well advised to talk to your Doctor.
There is a surgical procedure for piles, but it's better if you can avoid that at your age.
A hemorrhoid is in effect a varicose vein just inside the anal sphincter, and can cause a lot of pain and discomfort. It can give a feeling of soreness, burning and itching. One short term remedy is to apply an ice cube wrapped in a tissue, to the area for a few minutes. The relief is only temporary but is apparently worth the effort.
Things that can exacerbate the symptoms can be, excessive fibre in your diet, insufficient fibre in your diet (you'll only find out by trial and error), curries and other spicy foods.
Excessive straining is to be avoided wherever possible, so getting your correct fibre intake is important. Make sure you get enough fruit and vegetables every day and avoid junk foods.

hi
you can buy anusol cream which will relieve the itching and shrink the pile, sometimes piles don't bleed, there just uncomfortable when having a number 2 and they itch, have a look in a mirror to see what it looks like, probably a lot smaller than you think, you can get this cream in asda or tesco off the shelf so you dont have to be embaressed asking for it or just ask a parent to get it for you, no big deal
sometimes they are caused with constipation forcing yourself to go the loo so try to drink some fresh orange, eat veg etc to make it easier to go the loo.
