Depends how heavily you sit down, and how hard the seat is.
Externals are most prone to being affected by sitting. If internals are near the external point of your anus, then they can also hurt.
If you are having problems with them, you can get preparation H or similar from the chemist, or the doctor can prescribe an anti-inflammatory to help them settle down.
If the pain is bad, you should see a doctor as it could be something other than haemorrhoids. References :
