Please go see a Doctor, this sounds serious. Im scared for you and the sooner you check the better. It may not be anything to serious and I hope not but in any case you should go ahead and get it checked.
References :
You may have internal hemorrhoids that you can't feel but would cause bright red bleeding. If you're not having any other symptoms and it doesn't return I would wait and follow up for your 5 year check up. If it returns or you experience any other symptoms, then go for it. You and I both know the worst part of any colonoscopy is the prep. A little prevention is the best defense and it is a small price for a little piece of mind.
References :
Bright red blood is a sign of bleeding in the lower bowel/rectum/anal areas. Dark blood is a sign of bleeding in the upper GI (Stomach/Small intestine). You may have an internal hemorhoid, or you may have another polyp. You won't know until the doctor does another colonoscopy. I hope everything works out. Good luck to you! & Best wishes!
