Hemroids..sorry graphic?

Friday, November 7th, 2008

I'm 33 weeks along & I think I have a hemroid. I have a bubble at my anus….it doesn't itch……but what else could it be? I know it's pretty standard in pregnancy. Is there a way to get rid of it now? or does it go away on its own?

That sounds like one…congratulations!! They are one of the most annoying parts of pregnancy. You can apply Prep-H or use Tucks pads to get them to shrink or stop hurting. Tucks pads especially can be useful because hemroids can make it a little harder to clean after a BM. Unfortunately as your pregnancy progresses they are more likely to get worse. When the baby drops it can put more pressure on those blood vessels, causing hemroids to worsen or become more numerous. Labor especially can be hard on them. Women who never experienced hemroids before will often develop them because of the extreme pressure of labor. However, once you deliver I have been told that they shrink and even dissapear. Here's hoping anway.

what do hemroids feel like?

Friday, October 31st, 2008

After eating a meal I went to the bathroom to urinate and when I wiped front to all the way back, I noticed some clear mucous with blood in it…I thought it was from my vagina at first but I wiped again and it was from my anus…after wiping the 1st time it was clear with a little bit of brown slimy feces and blood clearly in the mix (I didn't actually have a b.m. tho I couldn't even feel the mucous come out! Iww I know I'm sorry!). I don't have diarrhea and I've had two b.m's today that were fine, I am not nor have I been constipated, and I don't have any other pain except round ligament pains. I'm 20 weeks prego with my 1st and I've already been back and fourth from the hospital just because I don't know what's normal or dangerous in pregnancy. I don't know if this is just simply hemroids and I'm freaking out for no reason or if I should go back to my doctor….

There may be a chance .. since you are pregnant.. go to the doctor you can never be too safe

Hemorrhoids and constipation 6 months after pregnancy!?

Friday, October 24th, 2008

Am I suppose to still have hemroids 6 months after giving birth? I drink plenty of fluids, 90 onces of water a day to be exact and I take some Metamucil Fiber Powder. I also have really bad constipation and I went 3 months without having a bowel movement. My hemroids are bloody and a little painful. I havent really lost any pregnancy weight, just a couple pounds here or there. I've been working my a** of at the gym lately. That scale doesnt want to budge! Is it normal to have hemroids and constipation 6 months after pregnancy?
Sorry if I posted this in the wrong categories… I didnt know where to put it.

I gave birth to my second daughter VBAC, and it really messed up my internal organs! It took awhile for everything to get back in place. I had a bulge inside my "birth canal", and I had to push it back in place sometimes when I was defacating. The doctor didn't seem to think it was something to be concerned about.

Three months without a bowel movement, though, is simply out of bounds. See a doctor. Your lack of weight loss might be connected to this.

hemroids during pregnancy?

Thursday, October 16th, 2008

I am 35 weeks pregnant and have terrible hemroids.I have tried taking very warm baths every night and it sooths them but they will not go away.I also use tucks pads on advice from my OB and they also do not really help.Did any of you suffer from them during pregnancy? What did you do to relieve them?Do they go away soon after giving birth?

I had talked to my doctor about using preperation h during pregnancy and he told me not to because of the fact that this can start labor. I never used it, I took lots of baths that I just soaked in them.

Eats foods high in fiber
Gaining to much weight can flare them up
Always go to the bathroom when you feel the urge
Drink plenty of fluids
Avoid long periods of standing or sitting
Excerise regularly

Moist towelettes help after you go to the bathroom
I would ask your healthcare provider about safe hemmoriod creams
Also ice packs that are applied 10 minutes 4x per day help too.
Try to avoid unscented toilet paper.
Ask your doctor about pushing it back in if it has begun to stick out you can do it yourself to but if you feel uncomfortable about this than your doctor can do it.

What is a good cure for pregnancy induced hemroids?

THEY DON'T GO AWAY?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?! REALLY?!

yes the hemroids will go away eventually. sometimes yes SOMETIMES they need surgury but rarely every..here is some information. i dont remember what exactly it was i used for comfort with them i will try and find what its called but it really helps… heres some info about pregnancy hemroids..

this is only a lil bit of information . but the hemoroid pads i used was tucks i LOVED them. but hope this helps

hemroids can develop during pregnancy – often due to the radical change in hormones and/or constipation that often occurs with a change in vitamins and general diet. Sometimes hemroids are due to the weight of the uterus and baby – in effect causing straining. Lots of sitting or standing contributes to the development of hemroids. Frequent rests in the prone position are encouraged.

Although these hemroidal varicose veins of the rectum are extremely unpleasant and potentially serious, the good news is that they are usually a temporary condition. Often, the hemroid will virtually disappear after delivery.

Ways to prevent getting a hemroid include drinking plenty of water, never “putting off” the call of nature – when you have to go, GO - not straining to make a bowel movement - eating plenty of fibrous foods to soften the stools and prevent constipation and keeping the anal area clean.

If you do experience hemroids, there are a variety of ointments and suppositories made especially to alleviate the symptoms of hemroids. Also warm baths, special cushions and loose-fitting clothing offer some comfort.

Do most women get hemroids after pregnancy?

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

What are my chances of getting them? What causes them?
What is Triple H?

I got them when I had my first, I was told that I would then get them with every other birth I had, but I didn't get them with my second daughter, you get them because of how hard your pushing, your using the same muscles you'd use to poo, don't worry about it, they go away within a few day's, maybe two weeks at most, a good tip is to sit on a rubber ring, not just for piles but also if you get an episiotomy or stitches, another tip, when you get a pee for the week or two after you've had your baby, sit on the toilet facing the cistern, basically backwards, the pee doesn't run on to your bits so much, so therefore you save yourself a lot of stinging!

Can you prevent hemroids during pregnancy?

Friday, September 26th, 2008

I have been reading alot about pregnancy and it says it is commen for women to get hemroids during pregnancy or even birth…. This scares me and I defenitly don't want to get them.. is there anything i can do to help prevent them just incase im not one of the lucky ones that don't get them??????

this may sound gross, but during pregnancy, dont sit a lot on your butt, or when youre takin a poo, dont push too hard, or even not hard for too long, but dont be scared so much that you dotn poop cuz thatll really screw you up. i didnt get hemroids until birth because i tried to deliver vaginally and i physically cant. all they are is blood vessels like when people get varicose veins in their legs. its that but in your bum. drink lots of water and if you do get them, get lots of tucks pads. they go away eventually.
