Hemorrhoids can and will heal if the strain causing them is removed.
Supplement your diet with extra high fiber foods and/or take a fiber supplement such as Metamucil or Citrucel. Don’t strain when you have a bowel movement – this can make it worse.
If you have a minor hemorrhoid problem, it may heal over the course of a couple weeks. If this is a problem that has been going on for some time, it could take much longer to heal or require medical treatment.
Also, do not use any ointments with hydrocortisone in it, such as Preparation H. After regular and prolonged use, these ointments can weaken the tissue down there so that hemorrhoids are more likely to occur. Ointments with phenylephrine are OK to use regularly.

ok so How would you get rid of a hemroid …what are some easy fast ways to do that while pregnant
the same way you get rid of them whin you’re not pregnant…tucks pads are great, prep. h has a cooling gel…pretty much any OTC cream is fine to use. decide what you like now, because after you have the baby, they’re usually worse. the hospital will give you witch hazel pads…which is basically tucks.

Preparation H to reduce swelling
Tylenol,aspirin, aleve or advil to relieve pain.
Use damp toilet paper to wipe yourself.
Ice pack or cold compress.
Keep anal area clean, soap can be aggravating.

i believe i have hemroids, and im 23 weeks pregnant. i have been having a little discomfort while having a bowel movement, and a week ago i had a little blood after. and then today i had the same thing and it was more than just a spot of blood…
i am also having a little cramping on the side of my groin… is that normal?
i did call my doct and he just gave my a name of a stool softener, and said to eat lots of fruit and bran cereal and drink alot of juice and water.
so how long does it take for them to go away?
is the cramping normal with them?
is there anything u did to relieve it?
please help… thx

Ahhhh…hemorrhoids! One of the joys of pregnancy.
Use the stool softener, don’t strain when you have a bowel movement, and use preparation H to relieve the itch and Tucks for wiping after a bowel movement. A nice soak in the tub is soothing as well.
Lets see…how long does it take them to go away? Well, my 4th child is 24 now, and I’m STILL waiting for them to go away. It should be any day now!
