I have had hemroids fror almost 5 years they are external and bleed someitmes and i am a bit over weight. does any one have any ideas.
Me too, I tend to use baby wipes instead of toilet paper, and push them inside as often as I can so they will shrink. Losing weight may help a bit, but you won't get rid of them without surgery

My husband has a hemmorhoid (External,i believe) and it has gotten a small slit in the middle that is bleeding. I am taking him to the doctor tomorrow, but was wondering can anyone give me a good idea of what to expect there.Especially what kind of treatment we might be looking at. Also would surgery even have to be on the table right now, we really don't want to do anything that extreme yet. Any Answers are appreciated.
Prevent further damage on his external anal sphincter by:
*avoiding constipation (eat fiber rich foods such as oat meal, drink extra fluid such as water and prune juice)
*avoid foods that may cause constipation
*avoid straining during defecation and avoiding too much friction during washing of the area
*sit on a doughnut-shaped cushion to avoid direct pressure on the anus
Provide temporary relieve by:
*sitting on a warm water (steam)
*or apply ice
*too much pain- can take mild analgesics but non opioids because it causes constipation
if it is too painful and damaged, the doctor may suggest an operation, hemorrhoidectomy. it is a short procedure done in an OPD or in a minor surgery suit. the patient may go home afterwards. god bless.

I went to the bathroom(just to pee) but noticed quite a bit of bright red blood in the toilet. when I checked it was coming from the back. could it just be hemroids and if so how would I know?
it could be hemroids. go see your doctor. rectal bleeding could be dangerous if not treated.

what should i do to treat this? i know goin to a doctor is the easy answer but i want to try to treat this b4 going. i had this happen earlier in the year and it cleared up iin a week…. i believe this to be internal hemroids. are there any oinments to buy at the drug store
only serious answers
Good news. You're ok. Time to time, I have the same thing and it's a hemorhoid. Most always the day after a night of boozin'. Thing I've found that works the best is Tucks pads.
My doctor knows about it and he's not concerned.
I've never gone the Preparation H route.

have painless bleeding?
Well, sure, but hemorrhoids are usually painful. I would get any rectal bleeding checked out. Bright red blood usually is indicative of hemorrhoids or fissures; dark red is from the upper GI tract, which is something to worry about for sure. Anyway, I would certainly consult a doctor. And by the way, sooner or later, just about everyone is going to experience hemorrhoids. They are varicose veins caused from pressure or straining at stool. People who sit a lot get them; conversely, people who stand a lot get them. Pregnant people get them.
